Relational empathy
The SLE program takes place in the majestic fjords and mountains of Norway, starting and ending in the town of Bergen. Over 10 days, students will work together as an expedition team to navigate along water trails and hiking terrain, moving each day between rustic campsites that offer stunning views.
Students will be responsible for leading each other through various challenges and decision-making points in areas of navigation, time management, cooking and camp setup. Throughout the trip, students will focus on enhancing individual and team performance, learn and apply appropriate leadership models, and provide and receive structured feedback for their own growth as a leader and teammate.
